2021's Best in Tech Announced at the North American Timmy Awards

Boston (October 29, 2021) – The tech world all came together virtually at a live ceremony last night to celebrate the very best in tech, as Tech in Motion announced the North American Timmy Award Winners for 2021, recognizing the top workplaces and managers in tech. 

Winners of the 2021 North American Timmy Awards are:  

  • DarwinAI, Best Tech Startup 
  • Elevate Security, Best Tech Work Culture (Small to Medium-Sized Employer) 
  • FiscalNote, Best Tech Work Culture (Large Employer) 
  • Xos, Inc., Best Tech for Good 
  • Zoox, Best Tech Enterprise Employer 
  • Daniel Altobello, VP of Product at InStride, Best Tech Manager 

Regional winners from cities across North America were selected by a popular vote, with thousands of tech enthusiasts casting their support for their favorite companies and managers. Those regional winners were then judged by an expert panel of industry leaders, with the North American Timmy Award winners announced during a worldwide streaming broadcast.  

After the success of last year’s event, Tech in Motion and our founder Motion Recruitment once again held the Timmy Awards virtually, allowing companies across North America to celebrate the occasion in their own unique ways. After an intro from Tech in Motion Marketing Manager Cara Sweeney, keynote speaker Dan Ram gave an inspiring speech, saying, “I want to celebrate the amazing leaders that we’re here recognizing today. Leaders who were able to galvanize and to ignite the spirit of their teams.”

In addition to Dan Ram hosting the evening’s event, tech luminaries announced the North American Timmy winners and gave some words of wisdom. Presenters included: Benjamin David Novak, Angel Investor; Siddharth Bai, Product Management Leader at Splunk; Erin Lao, Vice President, E2E 5G Systems at Ericsson; Denise Reed Lamoreaux, Worldwide Learning Director at Microsoft; Bruce Wang, Engineering Director at Netflix and Stacey Yudin, President at NEP Services. 

“For the seventh year in a row, Tech in Motion and the Timmy Awards are proud to recognize tech companies and managers that worked with their employees and allowed them to thrive,” said Mandy Walker, Executive Director of Marketing for Motion Recruitment. “We honored now more than ever to be able to highlight those who are lifting the tech community up, and we are humbled by the overwhelming response from everyone in our industry.
