Nominations Are Open for the 2022 Timmy Awards!

The tech celebration of the year is upon us once again, as nominations are now open for the 2022 Timmy Awards! With six categories across 14 cities across the United States and Canada, if you’re in the tech world and want to honor a person or company that personifies the very best our industry has to offer, there is no better way than a Timmy Award victory!

The Timmys continue to be a coveted award for startups and Fortune 500 companies alike, with previous winners including businesses and managers in places like Samsung, LinkedIn, Google, Oracle, and many more.

For the 2022 edition, the Timmys have brought back the Best Tech Workplace for Diversity Award, joining the other 5 categories from last year’s show. Companies can be nominated in more than one category, so feel free to enter in as many categories as you believe a company is warranted. Nominations are absolutely free and are open till August 26th, so don’t delay and get your nominations in today!

How to Nominate:

A Timmys nomination gives you the opportunity to show off what your company is all about. Head to the Timmys Nomination Portal to begin, and feel free to finish it all in one go or come back to it at a later time. Some important info you should consider including in your nomination:

  • Basic Company/Manager information (Company Logo, Manager Title and Headshot, Location, Website, etc.)
  • Overview of what your company/manager does.
  • Specific insights on what your company/manager does to set themselves apart in the tech world.
  • Why your nominee deserves to win.

Best Tech Workplace for Diversity

This award recognizes a company that treats diversity as a necessary ingredient for creativity and success. Recipients of this award are determined to build and sustain an inclusive culture from the top down, encouraging employees to bring their authentic selves to work every day. They have active strategies, programs, and initiatives in place to ensure a diverse and inclusive tech work culture. They implement strategic hiring practices, explore and celebrate team member differences, encourage diverse thinking to produce an innovative product and/or service, and promote diversity at all levels of the organization. 

Best Tech Enterprise Employer

This award celebrates an enterprise-level employer that fosters technological growth, inclusion, and invention at all levels. Whether marked by a high volume of tech hiring, impressive retention rate, world-class employer satisfaction ratings, or unanimous approval of leadership – top enterprise employers go above and beyond to keep their tech talent engaged. Recipients of this award leverage cutting-edge technology tools, encourage creative thinking, champion professional development, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Best Tech Work Culture

This company offers more than excellent "perks"; it successfully unlocks employee potential through a shared mission and sense of community, inspires performance, and rewards contributions at every level of the tech team. Recipients of this award have an exemplary tech work culture (both in the office, remote, or both!) that actively promotes technical creativity, diversity, inclusivity, learning, and meaningful recognition.

Best Tech for Good

The Best Tech for Good Award shines a light on the people and organizations leveraging technology to make the world a better place. This award recognizes a product, service, or individual using tech to tackle today’s most pressing social, global, and environmental challenges. Winners of this category successfully answered the call to serve, harnessing the power of technology to organize solutions, improve quality of life, and help our communities adapt to a changing world. Recipients will be honored for their outstanding efforts to give back and lift people up when they need it the most.

Best Tech Manager

A Best Tech Manager personifies leadership, innovation, and positive influence. This award celebrates technology leaders and visionaries who go beyond the requisite duties of a manager to empower their team in a changing world. This person promotes career growth, ensures a great team culture, inspires performance, and successfully leads their team through unexpected territory, all while ensuring the highest quality product and/or service.

Best Tech Startup

This award recognizes a startup built by forward-thinking leaders with a product or service that aims to disrupt the market. A Best Tech Startup exemplifies agility, innovation, and resilience, as well as an ability to foster an outstanding work environment for its employees. Whether demonstrated by a major funding round, a recent product launch, a successful business pivot, or another ground-breaking development entirely, winners of this category have identified what it takes to succeed in today’s competitive market.

After the success and overwhelming positive feedback of our 2021 show, the 8th Annual Timmy awards will once again be an entirely digital affair on November 10th. Technologists across North America and worldwide will be coming together from the comfort of their own home or office (which for many these days can be the same thing) to celebrate the very best in tech.
